These credit card sized proximity keycards can be learned to a Nortech access control system using the Norpass 3 software and additional USB desktop reader. Once learned to a system and assigned to a person, the card can be used to unlock doors simply by presenting it to a reader. In addition, the Norpass 3 software logs all events to do with the card and the person using it in it's reporting system.

This is useful for features such as monitored access as the system will bring up a picture of the person the card is assigned to on the operators screen which enables them to confirm that the correct person is using the card. Also, if a 'read in / read out' system is in use (a reader on either side of the door to monitor people's movements in and out of the building), cards can be used for time and attendance reporting.
