GuardCam is a complete, all in 1 unit for detecting movement, illuminating an area as well as capturing and recording video. The unit is simple to set up and use, just screw it to the wall, connect it to the mains and set the time and date and you're up and running. Video is recorded to the removable SD memory card which can then be played back on any standard PC.

The unit is available with LED or Halogen bulbs and with or without an additional Wireless RF device for alerting users to movement detected by the PIR 

When someone approaches, the GuardCam will:

• Floodlight the area 
• Initiate video recording
• Sound an audible warning

Eco Friendly Grade C 230w Halogen Lamp
GuardCam is supplied with a low energy grade C Halogen lamp offering an equivalent to old grade D lamps but with lower running costs.

High Resolution Digital Camera
GuardCam's internal camera offers clear image recording in video or still frame format. Night time images retain colour and clarity thanks to the floodlight activation.

Built in DVR Records Directly to 2Gb SD Card
Records up to 750 twenty second video clips or 60,000 still images onto the supplied 2Gb SD card. Oldest images are overwritten with the newer footage when the SD card becomes full. The SD card and time/date controls are secured behind a weather resistant door which can only be opened by an allen key (supplied).

Time and Date Setup
A simple set up procedure will allow you to input the exact year, month, date and time which will remain in GuardCam ready to be applied to all recordings. In the event of mains power failure, internal backup batteries ensure the settings are not lost.

Easy Replay on Windows Media Player
GuardCam comes complete with an SD to USB converrter. simply remove the SD card from GuardCam, insert into the converter and plug into your PC's USB port. Any recorded footage can then be played back using the standard Windows Media Player.

PIR Motion Detector with Integral Photocell
GuardCam detects the presence of intruders using proven PIR (Passive Infra-Red) technology at a distance of up to 12 metres from the unit. A photocell is employed to ensure activations are restricted to day or night operation according to the user's preference. 

PIR Sensitivity and Time Control
GuardCam's PIR can be adjusted to provide the best coverage whilst avoiding false activations from passing traffic, animals, etc. The time control adjusts how long the Halogen light will remain activated after the first trigger.

Audible Alert Speaker with a Choice of Warnings
GuardCam has the ability to deliver an audible warning upon activation. "Warning, you are being recorded by a security camera", A barking dog or one of two messages you can record yourself. There is also the option to have no audible warning.

Mode Selection
Mode selection allows the user to choose the most suitable combination of GuardCam's functions. Light plus video at night, sound plus video in the day, etc.
