We have put together a range of intruder alarm kits. Some kits provide a complete solution with everything you need for an entire system while some kits form the basis of a system which allows you to tailor it to your needs.

Cable allows detectors and other equipment to be connected back to the alarm panel. Most standard alarm systems will use 6 core cable (6 strands of cable in 1 sheathing). Detectors and sounders generally get their power from the alarm panel via the cable.

The alarm control panel is the brain of the system. The control panel receives alarm signals from movement detectors and other devices and sends out activation signals to a sounder, dialler or communicator to alert others of an alarm activation.

Door contacts have two parts, 1 is attached to the door and the other to the frame. When the door opens, the circuit breaks and the device sends a signal to the panel. Shock sensors monitor windows for vibration and glass breaks detect the sound of breaking glass.

There are 3 main types of movement detectors; Passive Infra-Red detectors are suitable for most internal applications, quad detectors also work on IR but are more difficult to trigger while dual techs use IR as well as microwave radiation to trigger.

Detectors that monitor for smoke, heat rise or carbon monoxide and send an activation to the panel should they be detected. The advantage with these units over conventional smoke detectors is that the alarm system can inform you if you are not on the premises.

Smoke screen protection offers an excellent solution against robbery. Once the system is activated it will fill the area with a thick non-toxic smoke which will reduce visibility to less than a couple of centimetres. Can't see it? Cant steal it.
