This is an internal dome camera which is suitable for use indoors only. The camera is a low cost solution to CCTV and would be ideally suited in an installation where an overall view of the goings on in a given area. This camera is not suitable for face or number plate recognition.

A dome camera of this type would generally be used in a home or small shop in an area that is generally well lit and would not have changes in the light levels very frequently. Domes are generally quite subtle once installed and so do not give a very obvious presence of CCTV.

This camera comes with a lens which gives a field of view as illustrated in the above diagram. It also comes with fixings and fittings as well as an easy DC connector which enables you to connect many different types of power supply to the camera (providing it is of the correct voltage and current).

This camera is designed to work in well lit areas and will struggle to see in dark situations such as rooms with the curtains drawn and the light off. It will however work well in light levels from dawn to dusk and in areas that are lit by standard light bulbs.

This camera can be connected straight into a monitor via the appropriate cable for a simple surveillance system or into any of our Digital Video Recorders (DVRs) to enable the footage to be recorded onto a hard drive and played back upon request. If you would like to view this camera from a PC, you would either need a single channel video web server which will allow you to connect the camera into a computer network and view it using software or you could connect this camera into a multi channel networkable DVR which will allow multuiple cameras to be connected into your network.
