CAT5 transmission is the easy way to transmit multiple camera signals down the same length of wire. Passive baluns allow colour video to be sent up to 300m, while active (powered) baluns allow video to be transmitted up to 2Km. Each camera signal occupies a twisted pair within the CAT5 cable.

Single baluns are supplied in pairs whereas 4 and 16 channel baluns are supplied as single units meaning that two will be required (transmitter and receiver)
